PLANET HUB ASSEMBLY - WHITE - BAYONET


The introduction of more powerful motors and stronger gearboxes on
Kenwood kitchen machines (Chef and Major) has necessitated a change to
the tool shaft and gearbox planet hub, from the original circlip design to a new
bayonet design.

The change from circlip design to bayonet design was progressively
implemented through 2008 production, and all new kitchen machines
produced now use the new bayonet design.

As a result of the progressive changeover some models could have either
circlip or bayonet type planet hubs fitted. To identify which type of machine
if the planet hub is a bayonet type,
i.e. does it look like a light bulb socket?
